Chernogolovka, Moscow region, Russia
According to the data of the Russian Ministry of health the mortality rate in Russia in 2006 was 2 million 303 thousand people. The main causes of death were as follows
Amount | Percent | ||
1 | Cardio-vascular | 1292000 | 56.1 |
2 | External causes | 305000 | 13.2 |
3 | Malignant tumors | 287000 | 12.4 |
4 | Diseases of respiratory organs | 94000 | 4.1 |
5 | Diseases of gastrointestinal organs | 92000 | 4 |
6 | Other | 233000 | 10.2 |
In our practice there is a relative high occurrence of the patients with the above mentioned diseases. We are able ro carry out clinical investigations and ptactical calculations due to our unique database on phytotherapy of more than 3500 patients that is constantly growing.
Within each study 10-15 most common diseases were randomly taken. Malignant tumors were classified not according to their types but according ro the rypes of treatment they were exposed to e.g.: no treatment. PhT -phytotherapy. OP - surgery. Cht- chemotherapy. RT - x-ray therapy.
As the data on death outcome of the patients is not available it is enough to have a percentage and the number of patients without treatment and with a worsening condition.
Thus, for example, in average 31.6 % cancer patients remained in severe condition or died (in the range of 55 % patients without treatment and 20 % patients with lymphogranulomatosis treated with Cht + RT).
Wounds, ulcers, thermal and radiation bums, scalp traumas (closed), intoxications, drug addiction, spinal cord traumas, bone fractures, fractures with bone pathologies.
Without enlisting certain diseases presented in the estimations let us consider comparable characteristics of effectiveness and the time of treatment of the illnesses of the century with phytotherapy.
Table 1. Comparative characteristics of effectiveness and the period of phytotherapy treatment
Nr. | Diseases | Effectiveness % | Time of treatment, months
Averag e | Minima 1 |
Maximal | Average | Minimal | Maximal
1 | Cardio-vascular | 73.4 | 57 | 91 | 2.72 | 1.84 | 3,69 |
2 | External causes | 82.2 | 66 | 91 | 1.72 | 1.33 | 3.06 |
3 | Malignant tumors | 68.4 | 45 | 80 | 4.12 | 1.53 | 8.96 |
4 | Diseases of respiratory organs | 70.3 | 54 | 89 | 2.81 | 1,41 | 4.00 |
5 | Diseases of gastrointestinal organs | 75.9 | 60 | 87 | 2.54 | 1,91 | 3.10 |
Consequently, the least effectiveness and the longest period of Treatment refers to malignant tumors whereas the utmost effectiveness and minimal time of trearmenr refers to the external causes, such as wounds, intoxications, fractures, etc.
